SENDAS ACADEMY
A SEMESTER TO CHOOSE WITH AWARENESS
Sendas Academy is a vocational and educational discernment program that takes place in Rionegro, in the Antioquia region of Colombia. It is aimed at Colombian boys who have just finished high school, generally between the ages of 16 and 17, an age when they are often not yet ready to make important decisions about their future.
For this reason, Sendas Academy offers a semester dedicated to self-discovery, before starting university or entering the workforce. During these months, participants experience various activities:
academic activities, to explore intellectual interests and abilities;
volunteering and service, to open up to others and get involved;
practical experiences, to learn with your hands and heart.
The goal is to help each young person get to know themselves better, to mature in their choices, and to acquire tools to guide their life in a freer and more conscious way.
The program is led by a permanent trainer and enriched by the presence of local and international volunteers who accompany the boys in this unique experience.
