EXCHANGE GENERATES LIFE
International Volunteer Organization
We are an ODV (voluntary organization), a non-profit entity for international cooperation.
We offer and support new educational and human paths, new life and exchange itineraries that give young people the opportunity to escape poverty (both economic and human) and to have broader horizons for their future.
WHERE WE ARE
In the summer of 2023, we hosted in Milan three boys and three girls from the Coredi boarding schools in Medellin, where, in addition to discovering a different culture and thanks to the collaboration with the Gentilino, LaRiva, and San Cipriano oratories, they experienced the summer oratory. Afterwards, we took three boys and six girls from the Milanese oratories to the Coredi boarding schools, where, in addition to discovering a new culture and being swept up by the joy of living and Colombian cheerfulness, they shared their expertise in running the oratory, spent several days on missions in one of the villages most affected by guerrilla warfare in recent years, experienced welcoming the most vulnerable, and met the bishop and local authorities. These initiatives led to encounters and understanding of the different realities in the area and established new and sincere friendships.
From September 2023 to February 2024, one of our educators left for Medellin with the mission of coordinating and helping the newly established 23 oratories in the Antioquia region (COL).
In February 2024, the Sendas Academy was established, a post-graduation discernment program that welcomed its first 6 girls. Here, they found one of our educators who guided them to try and discover various manual activities, lessons in pedagogy and psychology, while continuing the volunteer activities started last summer.
The following months were characterized by several events:
on April 16 we celebrated our first anniversary with a charity dinner at the Mitù restaurant in Milan, we participated in the volunteer fair "Fa' la cosa giusta" at Fiera Milano City, at the event organized by Bocconi University of Milan "Students for Humanity - Volunteering Desk" and at the Archiepiscopal Seminary Festival of Milan where we had the opportunity to present our proposal to the Archbishop of Milan, His Excellency Rev. Mons. Mario Delpini.
All activities useful for making ourselves known and for getting to know other organizations in the world of volunteering.

This year we began to create a network starting from Italy, with the collaboration of the Gentilino, LaRiva, San Cipriano oratories, and the associations DifendiAmo, ASD Gentilino and ASD Juvenilia, passing through Colombia, with the collaboration of the Coredi Marinilla, Coredi Rionegro and Coredi El Peñol schools, the diocese of Sonson-Rionegro, the parish of Santa Ana Granada and the Amigos del Mar Association, up to Brazil, with the collaboration of the Savipa association in the city of Caxias do Sul.
Thanks to this educational network, today Sendas is a founder and collaborates in the management of 31 oratories around the world.
